Day 56: Unicoi Gap to Dick’s Creek Gap

Another wonderful day for a walk in the woods! There were no views today, but some lovely sunlight and wildflowers.

Today was a misty and damp walk in the woods. There was only one view, but striking in its own way.
Today is the start of another section hike, 90 miles in Georgia, starting at the southern end of the AT. It was really wet!
Even though it’s late summer, there are still wildflowers! These are some from the latest hike in Virginia, found on the balds where they get a lot of sun.
Fall is really coming! We finished this section hike with a 10 mile walk to Damascus.
