Day 57: Dick’s Creek Cap (Georgia) to Deep Gap (North Carolina)
Georgia is done! This was a great section hike, and Above the Clouds Hostel and the other ladies on the hike were wonderful.
Day 56: Unicoi Gap to Dick’s Creek Gap
Today had more humpty-dumps, amazing views, and an “it’s a small-world” encounter.
Day 55: Hogpen Gap to Unicoi Gap
Another wonderful day for a walk in the woods! There were no views today, but some lovely sunlight and wildflowers.
Day 54: Jarrard Gap to Hogpen Gap
Today was a fun and challenging hike with outstanding views! Finally!
Day 53: Cooper Gap to Jarrard Gap
A very cold, wet day, with views of clouds.
Day 52: Springer Mountain Parking Lot to Cooper Gap
Today was a misty and damp walk in the woods. There was only one view, but striking in its own way.
Day 51: Amicalola Falls to Springer Mountain Parking Lot
Today is the start of another section hike, 90 miles in Georgia, starting at the southern end of the AT. It was really wet!
