We finished our weekend hike through varied landscapes. I’ve completed over 800 miles of the AT this year!
Another lovely day for a fall hike, with lots of spiderwebs, misty view of the highway, and a surprising deer.
This starts another short slackpacking section hike, this time back in Virginia.
Even though it’s late summer, there are still wildflowers! These are some from the latest hike in Virginia, found on the balds where they get a lot of sun.
Fall is really coming! We finished this section hike with a 10 mile walk to Damascus.
A long day with fabulous views, wildflowers, and some curious encounters with other hikers.
Today we had some wonderful views from Grayson Highlands, and sighted wildflowers, ponies, cattle, and cool rocks!
Back on the trail again, this time for a 4-day, 63 mile hike from Marion, Virginia to Damascus, Virginia.
